I'm a foodie!
Hi! My name is Mahasti. Thanks for visiting my blog! I am a French language and literature teacher and I love learning about new cultures through food. I am very passionate about flowers, painting, singing, antique collecting and especially my Vizsla. A few years ago, I discovered an interest in making macarons and other pastry. I also enjoy creating and eating savoury dishes. This is one of my favourite things to do especially when life gets hectic. To me making food is therapeutic but it also allows me to be artistic. Most of my recipes are original but some are inspired by the foods that I have eaten at local Vancouver restaurants, on my trips and some are variations on recipes from great chefs such as Pierre Hermé, Barefoot Contessa, Anna Olson and my mom, the queen of Persian cooking. I hope I can inspire you to try some of these dishes. You will find the recipes and where to purchase specialty food items in West Vancouver. I hope you enjoy making some of these dishes and I'd love to hear from you. Bon appétit!
